The 3rd Annual San Francisco

Night of Ideas

MediaOne Studios was honored to participate in the 3rd Annual Night of Ideas, a global event that brought together Bay Area thinkers, community leaders, artists, and performers to share their creative visions for the future. An evening of livestream keynotes, conversations, and performances, Night of Ideas, was a two-hour online live broadcast hosted by Mina Kim, KQED journalist, and host of Forum.

MediaOne Studios was responsible for live streaming the highlight of the event, a special conversation between San Francisco Mayor London Breed and Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo about what global cities can learn from each other. Additionally, MediaOne managed full, unscripted translation of the livestream conversation in real time.

An initiative of the Institut Français, Night of Ideas occurs on the same evening in more than 35 cities around the world. The program is broadcast globally from France by the Institut Français as part of a 24-hour program, and is designed to bring people closer to the Bay Area and to the individuals who make it special. The 2021 broadcast included tributes to Bay Area artists and essential workers that have kept spirits up during these challenging times.

The Bay Area's third annual Night of Ideas was a special collaboration between local event partners Villa San Francisco, KQED, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), San Francisco Public Library and California Humanities.
