Jim Miller of DigiPowers passed along an interesting article from Variety. It talks about how CBS News will add “Uncharted” to its online lineup. A digital-only show for CBSNews.com with new episodes each Wednesday. The article is worth the read.

One paragraph stood out to me:

A 2016 Pew Research study found 81% of Americans get at least some of their news through websites, apps or social networking sites. Among those who get news both on desktop computers and mobile devices, more than half prefer mobile.

The original, complete Variety article is here.

Meanwhile mobile use, in general, is on a rocket.

According to comScore, 65% of digital use is on mobile devices. 56% on a mobile app. Both up 12 points in the past year. Desktop use is down 12 points. Growth in digital has helped publishers and retailers as well.

Remember how we all wanted that big screen?
